Ultra Violet Radiation or UV Radiation
Ultraviolet Radiation is energy from the sun that reaches the earth in the form of ultraviolet (UV) rays. Sunburn, skin cancer, skin aging, cataracts, and immune system suppression can all be caused by UV radiation. UV Index is an immediate number, whereas MEDs is an accumulation (Minimum Erythemal Doses). The minimum value required to cause sunburn is indicated by MEDs.
